POSITION SUMMARY:
The Vice President of Information Technology (VP-IT) serves as the senior executive responsible for providing vision, leadership, and management to Marvin Group Information Technology (MGIT). The VP-IT directs the planning and implementation of enterprise IT systems in support of business operations to ensure cost effectiveness, service quality, and service delivery, and is responsible for all aspects of the Marvin’s information technology.
The VP-IT serves as the major administrator of MGIT and is responsible for the management of the SAP enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, Microsoft 365 Government Cloud Computing, IT project management, file server and networking infrastructure, application software development, information security, and NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC Level 2 compliance.
The VP-IT oversees the review and analysis, coordination, and approval of computer-related purchases and upgrades and ensures that new applications and technologies are compatible with existing systems and are appropriately integrated into the enterprise architecture.
The VP-IT provides leadership and supervision of staff, budget oversight and development, and strategic planning and implementation for the Marvin Group.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Directs, evaluates and implements the IT strategic and operational goals, objectives, policies and priorities for the Information Technology department; develops and implements the Information Technology strategic plan.
- Directs information security efforts in support of protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information systems and strengthening the preparedness, timely response, and rapid recovery in the event of a cyber-attack.
- Collaborates with other departments to achieve business goals by fostering innovation, prioritizing IT initiatives, and coordinating the evaluation, implementation, and management of current and future IT systems.
- Develops, tracks, and controls the information technology annual operating and capital budgets, including business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives.
- Ensures IT systems and process are compliant with ITAR, NIST SP 800-171, CMMC Level 2, and other relevant government and DoD regulations.
- Directs development and execution of an enterprise-wide IT disaster recovery and business continuity plan.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant Information Technology field of study, such as computer/software engineering, project management or equivalent experience
- A minimum of 15 years’ experience with information technology enterprise applications (ERP/Analytics), infrastructure, shared services and data center management including data and voice communications, SQL Server database administration, IT Service Management (ITSM), server and desktop operating systems, intranet and internet architecture and security, telecommunication, project management software, server, desktop and application virtualization technologies and current hardware/software architecture
- A minimum of seven (10) years’ experience supervising a team of information technology professionals
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and mentoring ability
- Knowledge of current and emerging industry technologies
- Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing
- Ability to use sound judgment
- Ability to manage time and workload effectively which includes planning, organizing and prioritizing
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
