POSITION SUMMARY: 


This position will primarily be responsible for conducting product tests according to their test procedure and perform to their designed standards. The test methodology depends on the product being tested. Test technicians work in a wide range of fields, from electrical, mechanical, and environmental. Working conditions may vary, some technicians can spend most of the day on their feet at workstations, while others stay seated and perform automated test using Automated Test Equipment. Test technicians may assist Test Engineers with clarifying test documentation and troubleshoot test failures.

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

 

  • Perform tests on multiple product lines. In-depth troubleshooting, problem resolution across multiple products, ability to guide others in issue resolution. (40%)
  • Ensure accuracy of records, ability to improve test procedures, initiation of ECRs, mentoring documentation practices. (20%)
  • Train peers, certify training, onboarding effectiveness. (10%)
  • Calibration, minor repairs, fabrication/modification of test hardware, preventive maintenance. (15%)
  • Facilitation of huddles, delegation, communication of priorities, team influence.
  • Support qual/ATP, provide structured engineering feedback. (5%)
  • Contributions to FOD/6S, process improvements, safety leadership. (5%)

 

 

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of experience in a related field with knowledge of lab instrumentation, test equipment, testing techniques, and safety practices
  • Familiarity with ESD practices
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask, communicate effectively, and train others when needed
  • Strong team player able to interface with multiple groups
  • Excellent attendance and reliability
  • Ability to lift 35 lbs
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions (test procedures)
  • Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams and mechanical drawings
  • Maintain awareness and understanding of documents in the BMS Library
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • U.S. Citizen

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Associate degree in Electronics, Engineering, Technology, or a related field
  • Experience with pressure testing (highly preferred)
  • Experience working within an SAP ERP environment

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

 

  • Medium-to-large office environment
  • Fast paced office environment
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
  • Exposed to a combination of normal office type environments

 

SALARY RANGE:

 

Base Salary Range (Inglewood only): $20.00/hr to $47.00/hr
