Test Engineer I
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in test project: design, development, and production release
- Preparation, performance and compilation of test reports including: Data analysis, results, test validation / verification
- Writing test plans, test procedures in accordance to product requirements utilizing VCRM; trains test technicians on test procedures, and verifies training effectiveness.
- Performs the set-up, calibration, testing and assist in troubleshooting of: Test systems, circuits, components, harnesses, instruments, and mechanical assemblies
- Assist in the test incident / failure and root cause analysis, implementation of corrective action, and verification of effectiveness of corrective action
- Demonstrates time management and communication utilizing tools and processes to complete tasks on time.
- Develop and utilize technical knowledge of product line testing and proactively collaborates with stakeholders to share and gain knowledge and solve problems
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Maintain awareness and understanding of documents published in the QMS Library.
- 4-year electrical engineering degree or equivalent, & 2 or less years of work experience in a closely related
- technical field with mechanical engineering experience
- Hands-on experience with operation of Signal Generators, Power Meters, Oscilloscopes, Hi-Pot
- Testers & Cable Harness Testers
- Experience with operating and/or developing production test systems
- Ability to use precision measuring devices
- Solid documentation, organization, attention to details, and record keeping
- Ability to prioritize and organize tasks daily to meet deadline
- Knowledge and ability to comprehend engineering drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Demonstrated experience with customers’ relations: strong communication skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of equipment utilized for testing, data acquisition, and programming
- Must be able to read/write/speak English
- languages such as C, C++, and/or LabVIEW
- Execution of tests in accordance with the test procedure
- Knowledgeable of manufacturing processes and procedures
- Understanding of RF, Analog, Digital Circuits in relation to test development; understanding of
- hardware test requirements for volume manufacturing
- Working knowledge of using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
- Reads and understands technical drawings, procedures, and industry standards
Test Engineer II
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, harnesses,
- instruments, and mechanical assemblies
- Reads and understands technical drawings, procedures, and Mil-Spec industry standards
- Prepares, performs and compiles reports for tests including data analysis, results, test validation /
- verification
- Writes test procedures, trains test technicians on test procedures, and verifies training effectiveness.
- Performs test incident / failure and root cause analysis, implements corrective action, and verifies
- effectiveness of corrective action
- Assist in product design, development, and production
- Ensures proper test-related documentation is completed, verified, and approve
- Develop new apparatus or fixture design for testing in a manufacturing environment
SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS
- 4-year electrical engineering degree or equivalent, & 3-4 or more years of experience in a closely related technical field with mechanical engineering experience
- Advanced electrical (digital/analog) & RF theory knowledge
- Knowledge of test specification MIL-STD-810 required
- Hands-on experience with operation of Signal Generators, Power Meters, Oscilloscopes, Hi-Pot Testers & Cable Harness Testers
- Experience with developing production test systems
- Advanced schematic interpretation
- Ability to use precision measuring devices
- Solid documentation, organization, attention to details, and record keeping
- Ability to prioritize and organize tasks daily to meet deadline
- Knowledge and ability to comprehend engineering drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Demonstrated experience with customers’ relations: strong communication skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of equipment utilized for testing, data acquisition, and programming languages such as C, C++, and/or LabVIEW
- Execution of tests in accordance with the quality system
- Knowledgeable of manufacturing processes and procedures
- Advanced skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Understanding of RF, Analog, Digital Circuits in relation to test development; understanding of hardware test requirements for volume manufacturing
- Must be able to read/write/speak in English
Test Engineer III
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Test Engineer is responsible for performing electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and/or environmental testing of products
- Determine the appropriate: test configuration, equipment set-up, and test check out prior to testing * Accurately complete or update: test check sheets, test logs, test data sheets, and equipment maintenance logs.
- Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions (test procedures)
- Able to demonstrate, cross train and approve training records for test procedures for two or more product lines including set up and processes
- Accurately troubleshoots and processes test incident failure notifications for two or more product lines in SAP system.
- Review of test procedures provided by Engineering for accuracy and completeness and recommend resolutions for documentation issues.
- Able to read and understand wiring diagrams and mechanical drawings
- Effectively utilizes communication tools to request support and work with other departments and follows up to completion
- Accurately communicates status updates within department including relevant details
- Actively collaborates and supports Test Engineering on projects and engineering tests
- Possesses and displays leadership skills to work with Test Technicians to support production demand for one or more product lines.
- Test Technicians don't just perform tests; they also can perform other job functions which may include assembling, calibrating, improving the test processes, and performing routine maintenance on test equipment.
- A Level 3 Test Technician is effectively a lead test technician. This is a Full-Time position 40 hrs a week 5 days a week onsite.

SALARY RANGES
Test Engineer I - III: $68K - $130K (Based on experience, skills, and education)
