Based in Southern California near the Los Angeles International Airport, The Marvin Group consists of Marvin Engineering (MEC), Marvin Test Solutions (MTS) and Marvin Land Systems (MLS).  Marvin Engineering designs and produces military Alternate Mission Equipment.  Marvin Test Solutions designs and manufactures armament Test Equipment. Marvin Land Systems specializes in the design and build of power and thermal management systems. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review of contracts, purchase orders, and contract amendments/mods.
  • Manage all aspects of contracts that are assigned, to include budget control through use of Earned Value Management (EVM).
  • Regularly take the lead in preparing for program status review during customer meetings, whether on-site or via phone conferences.
  • May require periodic travel to customer locations when necessary for design reviews, Technical Interchanges, or Program reviews.
  • Primary contact for customer-MEC interactions - coordinate customer visits, factory tours, technical data exchanges, and issue resolution.
  • Communicate well with internal and external customers, specifically in the tasking & direction of the Planning department with regards to program schedule and recovery when required.

 

SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS

  • BS degree in Engineering or related skill or 10+ years practical experience in the Program Management Field. PMP certification a plus.
  • Experience within the Defense Aerospace Industry in DoD contracting preferred
  • Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) is desirable
  • Computer knowledgeable - Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); SAP
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and understand technical information
  • Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills as this is frequently a customer-facing position
  • Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to speak/write in English.
  • Must be able to lift 35 lbs.
