Marvin Land Systems specializes in the design and build of power and thermal management systems. SCOPE
Responsible for managing product development with emphasis on accelerating the development cycle and transition into production.  Successfully deliver results to customers to achieve program delivery meeting performance requirements.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES
•    Plan project schedules including required resources and implement by deadline
•    Communicate with internal/external customers and work with functional areas such as Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality to ensure customer needs are addressed and targets are met
•    Facilitate the process of ensuring that all customer requests/questions are addressed in a timely manner
•    Liaison with suppliers and sub-contractors-ensure delivery of material to meet compressed development cycle (negotiate and issue Purchase Orders on critical items)
•    Create/Manage presentations (PDR, CDR, TRR), manage Customer Program deliverables, SDRLS, hardware, reports, etc.
•    Manage the transition between Development to Production (Product release, drawings/route sheet release, supplier base, etc.)

 

SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS
•    Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering is preferred) or applicable equivalent experience
•    7-12+ years’ experience in defense, engineering/product development
•    Proven history of Product Development from Proposal phase to Qualified Product
•    Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications
•    Able to perform a variety of complex tasks with a degree of creativity and adaptability
•    Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Project
•    Experience with MRP/ERP software, preferably SAP
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•    Team player, motivated to achieve program goals
•    Able to multitask and work in a fast paced environment (50% time at desk)
•    Familiar with manufacturing environment including project management, customer interaction, with a focus on continuous improvement
