SCOPE

Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials according to the production schedule.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Provide direction by communicating expectations; review planning; monitor work flow by coaching, counseling, initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures
  • Provide leadership to IPT area in Production Control Department; make decisions; solve problems; represent department at internal and external meetings
  • Provide support to the production team regarding manufactured/purchased part requirements. This includes outside vendor delivery dates
  • Responsible for accurate status updates and tracking of parts. This includes updating Excel status sheets daily.
  • Assist with the physical routing of parts to the next work center
  • Must be able to think ahead to the next step in the manufacturing process and anticipate any future needs/problems
  • Expedite part(s) thru the production cycle, when necessary, to meet the production schedule
  • Assist Production Supervisors with insuring that materials for required job(s) are available and accessible
  • Work with Quality, Manufacturing Engineering and Production Leads in regard to rework and rejected product in order to maintain the production schedule
  • Ability to report status and updates to Program Managers
  • Have Multi Product Line Experience, to include being stationed at various assembly floors or departments
  • Perform New Hire Training
  • Maintain PDR Accuracy for assigned IPT
  • Other duties as assigned by management

 

SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office based programs including Excel and Word
  • One year of Manufacturing experience with SAP experience
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work in an efficient and timely manner with the ability to multitask when needed
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs
