Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced IT Systems Administrator to manage our systems

infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, configuring, modifying, and supporting

the company’s computer systems and network infrastructure. The ideal candidate is a problem solver

who has a deep understanding of network and cybersecurity and works collaboratively with all

departments and team members to successfully implement system procedures and protocols.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure, including local area
  • networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), network segments, intranets, and
  • other data communication systems.
  • Perform daily system monitoring to ensure the integrity and availability of all
  • hardware, server resources, systems, and critical processes.
  • Ensures the highest level of system security and infrastructure through access
  • controls, backups, and firewalls within the agency's framework.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to systems, network
  • configuration, and mapping.
  • Manage Virtual and Physical servers, including email, print, and backup servers,
  • and their associated operating systems and software.
  • Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
  • Provide technical support to staff on complex IT issues.
  • Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Skills and Requirements
  • 6+ years of proven experience as an IT Systems Administrator, Network
  • Administrator, or similar role.
  • Ability to maneuver and communicate effortlessly through mixed digital
  • communication channels.
  • Four or more years of experience managing VMware and Windows systems in a
  • hands-on technical capacity.
  • In depth knowledge of Active Directory environment
  • In depth knowledge of Microsoft M365 environment.
  • In depth knowledge of LAN and WAN.
  • Hands on knowledge of network troubleshooting.
  • Experience in supporting solutions with high availability and disaster recovery.
  • Experience in real time system monitoring.
  • Aruba/ Cisco network systems or similar is a plus.
  • Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms.
  • SonicWall firewall systems is a plus.
  • Ruckus network systems is a plus.
  • Veeam and Dell storage platform is a plus.
  • SSO (Okta) or similar is a plus.
  • Azure cloud computing is a plus.
  • NIST 800-171 or CMMC framework is a plus.
  • M365 and Active Directory is a plus.
  • Domain Controller is a plus.
  • Experience deploying SPF, DKIM and DMARC is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must be able to lift to 35 lbs.
  • CA Drive license
  • US Citizenship

 

Work Environment

  • Sitting at a desk for long periods of time using computers, printers, phones, and
  • other office equipment.
  • Being on call to ensure that the network and computer systems are always
  • functioning properly.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends.
  • Remote work may be required.
  • Team environment
