POSITION SUMMARY: 

 

As the Manager of Quality Systems, you will be expected to manage and lead the organizational efforts toward achieving and maintaining compliance to AS9100D for Marvin Engineering.  The Quality Systems Manager is responsible for overseeing the control, approval, and communication of all AS9100D-governed documents, ensuring accurate maintenance and accessibility of MEC SIPOCs, Work Instructions, Standard Practices, Forms, and Training References within the company’s SharePoint system.

 

This role supports organizational compliance with Marvin’s Quality Management System by partnering with cross-functional teams to advise, recommend, and facilitate improvements to the Business Management System. The Quality Systems Manager leads readiness for internal and external quality audits, including annual Certifying Body surveillance and recertification audits, serving as the primary liaison for AS9100 compliance activities and validating audit results in the OASIS Audit Portal.

 

Additional responsibilities include coordinating all approved communication through the OASIS Feedback Portal, supporting corrective action effectiveness through post‑CARB validation audits, and delivering weekly and monthly reports on key quality system priorities. The role also leads organizational training and knowledge development related to the MEC Business Management System.

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

 

  1. Manages the control, approval and communication of documents that are governed by AS9100D quality systems, i.e., MEC SIPOCs, Work Instructions, Standard Practices, Forms, Training References, etc.  Ensures applicable documents are available and accessible to the organization through the company SharePoint portal.
  2. Supports all organizational functions in improving and maintaining compliance to Marvin’s Quality Management System by collaborating, advising, recommending and when needed, facilitating BMS process improvements. 
  3. Leads and supports the organizational readiness for all internal, external quality system audits and Certifying Body special audits, surveillance and recertification audits.  This responsibility includes serving as the official liaison for all AS9100 compliance review activities and validation of CB audit reports in the OASIS Audit Portal.
  4. Responsible for the coordination of all approved communication in the OASIS feedback portal.  This includes the initiation of collaboration meetings and monitoring process engagement with our Certifying Body in accordance with AS9018.
  5. Supports the effectiveness of the Corrective Action process through post CARB validation audits.
  6. Provides weekly/monthly reports that identify key areas of quality system focus and required action to sustain and improve Marvin’s Quality Management System as it pertains to compliance and the value it brings to the organization.
  7. Implements the organizational training and knowledge development pertaining to MECs Business Management System.

 

 

 

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

 

 

  1. Four-year degree and a minimum of 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in quality assurance within the aerospace and defense industry. (Required)
  2. AS9100D Lead Assessor Auditor certification. (Required)
  3. Strong written and verbal communication, organizational and computer skills. (Required)
  4. Ability to conduct cross function engagement and acquire executive sponsorship.
  5. Facilitation and leadership skills in identifying gaps and opportunities helping drive organizational improvement.
  6. Maintain awareness and understanding of published quality systems documents.

 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  1. Proficiency navigating in the OASIS Feedback and Audit Portals. (Highly Desired)
  2. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Training. (Highly Desired)

SALARY RANGE:

 

 
Base Salary Range (Inglewood only): $120,000 to $150,000
