The Procurement Performance Manager is responsible for providing departmental leadership and direction, with an emphasis on resolving supplier On-Time Delivery (OTD) issues and work with suppliers to deliver parts according to MEC contracted delivery dates. A strategic focus on supplier partnerships, high performance team building and the professional development of department staff.  Position will be accountable for the performance measures for Procurement and Supply Chain activities as established by department goals.


•    Coordinate activities to evaluate and resolve On-Time Delivery (OTD) of Open PO Late Lines.

•    Coordinate with IPT’s and Suppliers regarding engineering-related production problems encountered by suppliers that are affecting OTD and work with related departments to resolve engineering related issues.

•    Manage weekly Open Order reports and assign task to IPT’s and update Assignment Spreadsheet as required focusing on those Suppliers with Open Late lines with the mandate to resolve Late Line issues as soon as possible.

•    Performs Open Order Reviews with Suppliers and updates/documents product delivery status with IPT’s, Liaison’s, Program Management, and other departments as directed by Purchasing Sr. Management.

•    Establish and maintain a procurement policy and procedure manual that (1) effectively describes an efficient, professional methodology to conduct procurement activities, and (2) meets the requirements of customer, internal or governmental audit procedures

•    Applies the Company's Equal Opportunity Policy to all personnel actions and implements effective affirmative action to ensure attainment of the goals and objectives of the facility

•    Prepares and conducts regular employee performance reviews with each member of the staff, at least on an annual basis

•    Provides leadership and direction with emphasis on team building through effective communications

•    Develops an efficient organizational structure that is responsive to program requirements and changes.  Assigns effective lines of responsibility and authority including the development of key personnel to maintain departmental performance for subordinates

•    Appraises personnel of their progress and advises them regarding professional and skills development to further their career objectives and produce a more effective work force



•    Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or Administration and 8-10 ten years of progressively responsible Supply Chain experience in a large aerospace manufacturing company. Equivalent combination of education and/or work experience will be considered. 

•    Experienced working knowledge of MRP systems, 6 recently continuous years of SAP purchasing transactions (or equivalent first tier ERP system), and advanced personal computer skills are required 

•    Excellent communication and high performance team building skills

•    Must be able to speak/read/write English 

•    Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
