POSITION SUMMARY:
The Machine Maintenance Technician III is responsible for expert‑level troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of a wide range of industrial and CNC machine tools used throughout the facility. This role ensures the reliability and uptime of critical production equipment by performing advanced corrective repairs, completing assigned preventive maintenance tasks, and developing new PM procedures when required.
The Technician III serves as a technical resource for complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, and control‑system issues, supporting both day‑to‑day operations and long‑term equipment health. This position works with minimal supervision and is expected to respond with urgency to machine‑down situations while maintaining accuracy and documentation standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machine tool equipment and controls such as Fanuc, Alan Bradley, SNK, Niigata and Yama Seiki, Mazak, and Okuma.
- Expert troubleshooting and diagnostic skills to component level on hydraulics, electronics, software, electrical, pneumatic, robotic, and mechanical systems.
- Uses machine tool manuals, technical documents, and internal and vendor resources to research and repair machine issues and develop Preventative Maintenance procedures.
- Identify and replace parts as necessary to repair and maintain equipment.
- Develops and completes testing procedures and identify required adjustments of parts/equipment as needed.
- Complete all planned and preventative procedures as assigned.
- Ability to develop Preventive Maintenance procedures with or without the use of tool manuals, technical documents.
- Work based on a sense of urgency with machine down conditions.
- Responsible for the development, implementation, completion, and accuracy of documentation related to assigned tasks.
- May be assigned tasks outside the scope of this job description.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Maintain awareness and understanding of documents published in the BMS Library, with specific competency of general as well as related field documents.
- AS Engineering degree or Advanced Certifications in newest technology machine maintenance and repair field or equivalent experience.
- Ability to read and interpret part manuals. Complete understanding of electrical and mechanical schematics, assembly instructions and troubleshooting guides.
- Experienced with SNK, Niigata and Yama Seiki, Okuma and Mazak CNC machinery or equivalent technology.
- Experience with FANUC, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Alan Bradley, and Okuma controls or equivalent.
- Experienced with the use of diagnostic/specialty tools used in the troubleshooting & repair of machinery.
- Demonstrated high degree of industrial mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical aptitude and repair abilities.
- Experienced with electrical test equipment, electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems.
- Reading, writing and analytical math skills at a professional level.
- Self-starter with the ability to work unsupervised.
- Ability to work effectively in a group (Team) environment.
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills; must be able to speak/read/write English.
- Must be willing to have flexible work hours.
- Must have a Highschool Diploma or G.E.D equivalent

SALARY RANGE:
Base Salary Range (Inglewood only): $38hr to $49/hr
