Defense contractor involved with product development and manufacturing of various systems for military aerospace and vehicles in the Los Angeles International Airport area. Purpose:

Lead, train, and coordinate activities of workers engaged in the fabrication and assembly of precision sheet metal structures and integration of mechanical, electro-mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

 

Job Duties:

- Ensure employees are in accordance with the Company's Policies and Procedures

- Assisting employees with workflow.

- On Job training with employees

- Appraising employee performance, addressing complaints, and resolving problems

- Develop and provide input on assembly requirements needed to fulfill customer's order

- Study production schedules and estimates, maintain time and production records, and coordinate

  manpower to meet changing conditions

- Ensure customer shipment dates and specifications are met by coordinating flow of product through

  department according to operation sheet requirements

- Make recommendations for continuous improvement on production methods, performance, and quality of    product

- Interface with other departments to ensure customer order deadlines are met

- Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations

- Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist workers in solving work problems

- Develop subordinates' skills and encourage growth

- Perform other related duties as may be required

- Monitor and enforce AS9100 quality standars to all assembly processes.

- Able to speak and lead professionally in group huddles

 

Job Requirements consist of education, skills, training, and competency of Internal Procedures listed and Associate Documents:

 - Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to

one year related experience andlor training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

 - Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical data, and documents such as safety rules,

operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and

correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
