Purpose:
Direct, train, coordinate, and control activities of workers engaged in the fabrication and assembly of precision sheet metal structures and integration of mechanical, electro-mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Job Duties:
- Direct supervision of employees in accordance with the Company's Policies and Procedures
- Assigning and directing workflow.
- Assist appraising employee performance, addressing complaints, and resolving problems
- Develop and provide input on assembly requirements needed to fulfill customer's order
- Study production schedules and estimates, maintain time and production records, and coordinate manpower to meet changing conditions
- Ensure customer shipment dates and specifications are met by coordinating flow of product through
- department according to operation sheet requirements
Make recommendations to improve production methods, performance, and quality of product - Interface with other departments to ensure customer order deadlines are met
- Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations.
- Facilitate the proper training of new hires.
- Created and maintained of employee training records.
- Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist workers in solving work problems
- Develop subordinates' skills and encourage growth.
- Perform monthly 5S audits and review findings with team.
- Participate and/or lead efforts in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform other related duties as may be required.

Job Requirements:
- Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical data, and documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Write routine reports and correspondence.
- Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees
- Hands-on experience with the use and maintenance of basic hand tools, power tools, and rivet guns
- Experience fabricating components by cutting trimming, filing, bending, and smoothing parts while verifying size and tolerances using precision measurement tools to ensure proper fit and clearance
- Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations
- Basic skills in Microsoft Office Suite software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access)
- Familiarity with MRP/ERP software. Knowledge of SAP ERP software a plus
- Speak, read, write, and understand English
- Effective leadership, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Previous experience in the maintenance and assembly of military /aerospace structures, mechanical and/ or electromechanical equipment a plus
- Maintain awareness and understanding of documents published in the QMS Library, with specific competency on the following:
o Operations Process Control (WI-500)
o Foreign Object Elimination (WI-507)
o Improvement Suggestion Process (WI-517)
o Quality Control Inspection (WI-810)
o Control of Non-Conforming Material (Wl-811)
