POSITION SUMMARY:
During this internship the selected intern will support ongoing operational, automation, and reporting initiatives that require additional hands-on technical capacity. The selected intern will meaningfully contribute to development, data, and reporting tasks while gaining experience aligned to our enterprise technology stack.
The internship learning objectives will include:
- Participation in coding, testing, and debugging enterprise applications
- Gain knowledge of Python and .NET
- Gain strong knowledge of OOP concept
- Knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript fundamentals
- Problem Solving and debugging skills are required
- Apply Python to create IT task automation
- Assist in data collection, cleaning, and visualization
- Proficiency in Advanced Excel (Power Query), basic SQL, and familiarity with BI tools
- Work on Application reporting tools
- Good communication, eagerness to learn, and willingness to work in teams
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide full support for day-to-day activities of the .NET application development team
- Troubleshoot, analyze, and implement solutions within custom .NET applications
- Demonstrate working knowledge of Python and .NET technologies
- Utilize a solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles
- Develop and maintain code using Python; execute manual processes and run queries across multiple small applications
- Apply strong problem-solving and debugging skills to identify and resolve technical issues
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be enrolled in an undergraduate or postgraduate, community college, or accredited technical program and be a Sophomore, Junior, Senior or Postgraduate student by the start of summer, pursuing Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3.5 or above cumulative GPA desired
- Prior IT project or internship experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Microsoft Office or other presentation tools
- Demonstrate the ability to work effectively with coworkers on cross-function teams from diverse communities and cultures
- Demonstrate the ability to work with colleagues who represent a diversity of work and conflict resolution style
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Medium-to-large office environment
- Fast paced office environment
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
- Exposed to a combination of normal office type environments
SALARY RANGE:
Hourly Range (Inglewood only): $23.00 to $25.00 Hourly. Pay rate is based on skills, education, and experience.
DURATION:
Two to three (2-3) months
