SCOPE
The position requires a strong ability to team with multiple departments to implement improvement plans for better utilization of facilities, equipment, materials, manufacturing space and workflow, methods, and processes. In addition, develop production operation estimates, lead industrial engineering initiatives, perform capacity assessments, trend analysis and part level cost reduction projects in order to improve operational efficiencies and increase product flow while meeting required quality.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Study organization charts and various project information to determine functions and responsibilities of workers and work units to identify areas of inefficiency, waste, or duplication
- Establish work measurement programs to analyze standards for labor
- Analyze work force allocation, facility layout, and operational data such as production costs, process flow charts, quality requirements, and production schedules to determine efficient utilization of workers and equipment
- Collaborate with various departments to identify and recommend methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials, time, labor, movement, and utilities such as revising work instructions, reorganizing work flow, relocating work stations and/or equipment, and/or the purchase of new equipment
- Advise and confer with Management on proposed implementation plans and recommendations
- Analyze lead times, queue times, work-in-process, cycle times, and throughput to meet customer demand most effectively and efficiently
- Create new metrics and data visualizations to monitor shop floor performance
SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree with 1 or more years of engineering, manufacturing or data analysis experience
- Ability to work on manufacturing and/or assembly floor
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Office Suite software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Project)
- Familiarity with MRP/ERP software, preferably SAP
- Green or Blackbelt in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement preferred
- Working understanding of Project Management
- Must be able to speak/read/write English
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs

SALARY RANGE
Base Salary Range (Inglewood only): $80,000 to $100,000
