POSITION SUMMARY:
This Specialist position requires experience, knowledge, self-direction and a focus on meeting deadlines in the areas of Government Accounting and Price/Cost Analysis. Areas of responsibilities include proposal cost estimating, proposal rate development, TINA (truth in cost or pricing), DFARS Accounting, Cost Estimating business systems, FAR cost principles, CASB Disclosure Statement including FAR Financing methods. As a key member of the Marvin Group Program Finance and Control organization, this position will be reporting to the Manager of Price/Cost Analysis and Rates. This position will also be working closely with the Director of Program Finance and Control and the Marvin Group CFO.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Compile raw data inputs for developing the Marvin Group FPRP rate models working with Marvin Group Controllers and CFO across multiple companies. Package and submit the company FPRP rate package through the CFO and support fact-find and negotiations with ACO including Provisional Billing Rates and incurred cost submissions, as required.
- Participate in the design and training of new and updated Government Accounting policies, procedures, and related processes.
- Support DCMA and DCAA cost/price analysis and rate audits including labor/material out-year escalations, scrap/rework factors and weighted fee and FCCOM calculation guidelines.
- Task lead assessing CAS, FAR Cost compliance, incurred cost submission, maintaining the MEC CASB Disclosure Statement.
- Project team lead and/or team member on special projects including SAP System Enhancement, customer tcodes, BW, BI custom reporting as requested.
- Prepare briefings and present to Program Finance, PMO, Functional organizations and Executive management on Government Accounting and Price/Cost Analysis topics working closely with Supply Chain regarding CAPA findings.
- Train others on topics related to Government Accounting, Price/Cost Analysis and Rate Development.
- When acting as a team leader, encourage and support team members to discuss relevant issues openly with an emphasis on continuous process improvement and reduced cost of operations.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree Finance or Accounting, MBA and/or CPA is a plus.
- 5-7 years of combined government accounting, cost accounting, rate development or audit experience working for DCAA, DCMA, or a prime contractor or major subcontractor is preferred.
- Experience in the Aerospace and Defense or related industry
- Experience with FAR, DFARS, CAS and government contracting and cost principles
- Experience with SAP ERP working in an EMD or Production Environment
- Familiarity with FFP, FPI, CP and T&M Contracting types
- Proficient in Excel pivot tables, vlookups and formulas
- Must be a self-starter, work well independently, good communicator and team leader
- Must be able to speak, read and write English proficiently
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Medium-to-large office environment.
- Fast paced office environment.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- Exposed to a combination of normal office type environments.
SALARY RANGE:
Base Salary Range:
$110,000 - $135,000 (Based on experience, skills, and education)
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
There may be some travel required, less than 5%.
