POSITION SUMMARY:
Leading and supporting an effective Quality management team united by the purposeful goal of supporting the War Fighter protecting the United States and its Allies, with the distinct aim of ensuring the products we deliver are safe, compliant and effective. In this highly visible role, you will be responsible for the Strategic Implementation of Quality Assurance Goals and Objectives:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leadership and employee development, such as through mentoring and coaching/one-on-ones.
- Strategic alignment and collaboration between organizations within and outside of the Quality organization.
- Objective and key process indicator alignment, to ensure a cohesive performance goal structure.
- Strategic Planning and policy deployment, i.e. the transference of executive strategic business plans into tactical plans that mid-level management teams are able to understand the implement.
- Risk management via processes of identification, classification, prioritization and mitigation with validation of action for effectiveness i.e., Organizational risks and Operational risks.
Responsible for the effective management and execution of Functional Teams:
- Quality Engineering – Team responsible for ensuring quality assurance support is in place throughout the organization. Key customers include Program and Operations Management.
- Supplier Quality Engineering – Team responsible for managing all aspects of quality development to improve supplier quality performance. Key customers include Supplier Chain and Operations Management.
- Quality Management System and Audit Management – Team responsible for ensuring organizational AS9100 compliance and audit readiness. Key customers include all internal functional process owners and stakeholders.
- Metrology – Team responsible for implementing calibration processes to ensure measurement and monitoring devices are accurate. Key customers include Operations, Test and Quality Control Management.
Other:
- Serve as the official Quality Management Representative for third party AS9100—series certification and registration activities and the official liaison for all AS9100 compliance review activities. Support the preparation, compliance and execution of Executive Management Reviews.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Four-year degree or a minimum of 15 years of experience in a Quality Management role
- 10 years of experience in the Aerospace and Defense Industry.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience managing Quality teams responsible for AS9100 compliance
- Experience engaging and working with Aerospace prime contractors such as Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, and the Defense Contract Management Agency a plus.
- High Proficiency in:
- Strategic Planning.
- Organizational alignment and objective deployment.
- Key Process and performance management.
- Project Management.
- Quality Systems management and standards such as AS9100 and ISO 9001 series.
- Quality Engineering processes and compliance management.
- Supplier Quality processes and performance management.
- Employee development, coaching, mentoring and competency management.
- Share in the responsibility of maintaining a culture of Quality.
- Risk Management
- Metrology Methods and Industry Standards.
- Proficient in basic business management skills such as:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint)
- Experience auditing quality requirements.
- AS9100 Lead Auditor and ASQ Certified Quality Management a plus.
- Experience with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) a plus

SALARY RANGE:
- Base Salary Range (Inglewood only): $146,000 to $197,100
