BUSINESS ANALYST II (SAP BOBJ/BW)

Defense contractor involved with product development and manufacturing of various systems for military aerospace and vehicles in the Los Angeles International Airport area. With a 60+ year foundation, The Marvin Group supports all branches of the Department of Defense and allies around the globe on an array of programs and platforms. We support many military prime contractors including Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman and Raytheon.

The BA will report directly to the IT Application Manager and is responsible for providing Super User and end-user support related to operational issues, configuration & enhancement efforts and key projects.  The BA will provide best practice solutions using the Business Objects and Business Warehouse platform. Typical activities will include analysis, architecture, design, hands-on development, testing, and documentation of business applications and process automation, You will work as part of a larger team focused on collaborative technologies, interacting daily with other team members and business unit stakeholders.

RESPONSIBILITIES
•    The BA is responsible for working with the organization to help identify areas of improvement and to make improvements to SAP according to business requirements to increase process efficiencies.
•    The BA will be required to interact with all levels of the company to ensure the BOBJ and BW platforms meets the needs of the organization.
•    The BA will meet regularly with internal customers to document issues, new requirements and effectively respond customer needs.
 
SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS
•    BA/BS degree or equivalent experience  
•    Applicants with 5+ years of professional work experience will be considered or
•    Applicants currently working on BA/BS will be considered
•    Demonstrated experience in implementing workflows and processes to manage information using collaboration and knowledge management platforms
•    Proven Project Management experience
•    Proven effectiveness in business process documentation, process improvements, and problem solving.
•    Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and strong interpersonal skills.
•    Individual needs to exhibit the Marvin values (walk the walk).
•    Individual needs to be a self-starter and able to exercise good judgment.
•    Attention to detail is a must.
•    Strong customer service skills and strong customer focus.
•    Strong interpersonal skills
•    Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
 
PREFERRED SKILLS
•    Familiarity with Software Development Lifecycle.
•    Experience in an Office 365 GCC High and DoD environment
•    Basic understanding of database structures and experience authoring SQL statements
•    Experience developing solutions using JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, CSS, Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), webservices, REST API, and the modern SharePoint Framework (SPFx)
•    Familiarity with Lean principles and the application of “Lean” in a manufacturing environment.
